About the position

This person will provide administrative support to LSM’s movement development team which animates and coordinates LSM’s programs and initiatives across the globe. The assistant will report directly to the Associate Director and collaborate with members of the movement development team and wider secretariat as needed to help with the day-to-day management, coordination, and administration of the team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and send communication and emails
  • Develop presentations, communication materials, and reports
  • Coordinate meetings including scheduling, taking minutes, and ensuring proper follow-up of action items
  • Assist in collaboration of the movement development team with other LSM Secretariat teams.
  • Provide administrative support to LSM’s membership programs including Laudato Si’ Animators, Member Organizations, Circles, and Chapters
  • Update spreadsheets and databases

Skills and Characteristics

  • Minimum one year of experience providing administrative support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once without sacrificing quality.
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and will proactively address needs as they arise
  • Ability to work independently in a remote online environment, as well as in close coordination with a remote team across multiple time zones.
  • Familiarity with Google Apps Suite, with the ability to learn new applications and programs quickly


Languages: Fluent English is required and professional Spanish is strongly desirable.

Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Hours: 20 hours per week, part-time position.

Location: Preferably based in Quito, Ecuador. Other Latin American locations might also be considered.


Work Environment: Remote. It will be based at home. Laudato Si’ Movement is a faith-based organization. Being Catholic is not at all a requirement to work here, but regular shared spiritual practices are part of our team culture.
