About this position

The Hispanic America Administrative Assistant will support the Director of Hispanic America and the Team management. This role is of great importance for supporting the LSM Chapters in Hispanic America and monitoring the training programs for Laudato Si Animators. This person helps to maintain order and track processes within the team.

Key Responsibilities

Management area
  • Assist the Director in tracking and monitoring the strategic plan
  • Keep track of team meeting minutes and one-on-one meeting minutes.
  • Assist in assigning tasks to team members and monitoring their progress.
  • Support with routine document review and organization tasks.
  • Support in the preparation of reports and presentations

Program Support

Chapters
  • Assist in scheduling calls with Chapter Coordinating Teams
  • Monitoring the work with the National Chapters

Regional Council
  • Support the scheduling of meetings with the Regional Council 

Animators
  • Manage the general email for animators in Spanish.
  • Support the technical and logistical aspects of training programs.

General tasks
  • Assist in organizing the documentation
  • Provide technical and logistical support to the team as:
  • Reviewing and updating calendars
  • Scheduling team calls
  • Supporting budget tracking
  • Manage regional email accounts
  • Handle external requests for general questions via WhatsApp

Other areas of responsibility
  • From time to time, contribute work towards LSM’s overall mission that is outside standard responsibilities and instead relies solely on geographic location or work capacity.
  • This role will assist the Global Movement Advisor in general administrative areas permanently, with an approximate workload of 5 hours per week.

Skills and Characteristics

Essential
  • Bachelor's degree in administration, management, business, and related areas.
  • One year of experience in administration or assistance.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, capable of not losing track of multiple tasks at the same time, and the ability to prioritize in high-volume work environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace, Thinkific, Zoom, and WhatsApp.
  • Ability to systematize and prepare reports. Clear and professional writing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining strategic alignment. Manage tasks before being asked, take minutes in advance, and have documents ready.
  • Basic budget management and administrative tracking.
  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to work with diverse countries and cultures
  • Flexibility and resilience
  • Endorses and embodies LSM values and the Laudato Si’ paradigm in behavior and words; comfortable supporting and working in a faith-based environment.

Desirable
  • Experience working in faith-based organizations.
  • Experience working in international environments.
  • Good knowledge of GetResponse and Canva

Languages
  • Good proficiency in English
  • Native Spanish

Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, or Argentina

Type: Full-time position
