About this Position

The Marketing & Fundraising Associate plays a key role in supporting the organization’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts through creative marketing strategies and compelling design. This position combines traditional fundraising communication with graphic and digital design to tell the organization’s story, inspire giving, and enhance donor experiences. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with both marketing and design skills who can develop materials that drive engagement and align with the organization’s brand.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Donor Communications
  • Support the development and execution of fundraising campaigns (annual/online appeals, digital campaigns, special events).
  • Design donor communications including newsletters, email campaigns, social media posts, donor brochures.
  • Assist in donor stewardship efforts by creating thank-you letters, impact graphics, and recognition materials.

Marketing & Design
  • Design high-quality print and digital materials such as brochures, flyers, social media graphics, event collateral and presentations.
  • Manage website content updates to ensure timely and accurate fundraising information and also make recommendations for designs.
  • Create visual content that aligns with branding guidelines and enhances donor engagement.
  • Track and analyze marketing metrics (email open rates, social engagement, campaign performance) to improve effectiveness.

Grants & Development Support
  • On occasion, provide design and formatting assistance for grant proposals and reports.
  • Ensure fundraising materials support grant initiatives.

Skills and Characteristics

Essential
  • Endorses and embodies LSM values and the Laudato Si’ paradigm in behavior and words; comfortable supporting and working in a faith-based environment.
  • 2–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or fundraising (nonprofit experience a plus).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and figma.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for storytelling.
  • Experience with social media platforms, email marketing, and donor engagement strategies.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Passion for mission-driven work and inspiring philanthropy.

Desirable
  • Experience with Opus Clip and Cap Cut is a plus.

Languages
  • Fluency in English.

Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Open to candidates in Mexico, Ecuador, USA, or UK. Direct supervisor is located in Chicago time zone (Central Day Time - US), working hours should be the same as the direct supervisor.
