Laudato Si’ Movement (LSM) is an international network of 900 Catholic organizations and thousands of grassroots leaders working together to care for our common home and advance climate and ecological justice. About this position
The Hispanic America Communications Assistant will support the Laudato Si' Movement in developing the area of communication strategically and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic thinking and planning
- Support regional strategies and plans.
- Develop strategies and tools to improve work with the grassroots.
Chapters
- Support the communication representatives of the Hispanic American Chapters
- Support in the development of materials.
Animators
- Support the internal communications with Animators.
- Support in the development of materials.
Circles
- Support the internal communications with Circles.
- Support in the development of materials.
Other areas of responsibility
- From time to time, contribute work towards LSM’s overall mission that is outside standard responsibilities and instead relies solely on geographic location or work capacity.
Skills & Characteristics
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Communications or other related field.
- 1 year of communications experience in Catholic organizations.
- Understanding of the Catholic Church Structures and Catholic Social Teaching.
- Knowledge of the sociopolitical and sociocultural reality of Latin America.
- Experience in Social Media management and Project Management.
- Good knowledge of Canva.
- Endorses and embodies LSM values and the Laudato Si’ paradigm in behavior and words; comfortable supporting and working in a faith-based environment.
Languages: Spanish and English
Type: Part-time position, 20 hours per week.
Location: Quito
Work environment: This position will work remotely.
